ONE final is not so bad at all. I am grateful that my other classes ended last week and I can focus (or at least try) on this ONE project. I have spent all of today and yesterday busy with putting this project together and trying to get through other things as well. By the end of this week, Austin and I have to be moved our of the comfort and safety of Student Housing and into our very own place. That means we have to pack up everything, and find an affordable place to live. Both of these feats seem impossible at this point.
Why?
1: Juneau is a crazy expensive place to live. It is really competitive out there, too. ANY affordable place that goes up is gone within hours of posting it seems. Many people only allow e-mails and then don't bother responding. Even those you call tend to not call back. It has been a long month of searching and building of worry.
2: I have far too much stuff. I went to pull out a tote to start packing and found even more stuff already inside. "Oh. Em. Gee." is how I feel about that :) This is what my life has come to:
Just one huge mess :)
I have been living at my kitchen table, getting work done.
I have only taken one break yesterday to make deer stew which was probably the best idea this baby every had (yes, baby wanted me to make it). I'm glad this baby only wants to eat deer stew for a while because we've got stew for days.
This is my second break; writing this blog. I just had to get some things off my chest, clear my mind so I can get down to the nitty gritty.
A few positives that I have to share to keep the balance:
1: By the end of this week, by baby daddy will be a graduated man :)
2: I don't have to share an apartment with strangers anymore...no more hair of all sorts, slamming doors from all over the apartment building.
2: I don't have to share an apartment with strangers anymore...no more hair of all sorts, slamming doors from all over the apartment building.
3: I've started purging many material things that I've held on too long :)
4: School is out for summer. No more pencils, no more books...no more teacher's dirty looks!
I shall blog again about more relevant baby things when this is all over :)
Cheers.
Cheers.
P.S. - I am FOUR MONTHS today. Holy.

Already when I re-read what I've just wrote, it doesn't even seem that bad. Win :)
ReplyDeleteHave you been in contact with T&H housing? Might be a long shot but they might have a lead on something...
ReplyDeleteThere is a waiting list, and we are going to stay in contact with them. Chéesh :)
