Long Live Barbara!

Before I got knocked up, I had a food baby that I enjoyed feeding. I named her Barbara. Most of my close friends and family learned to love her :)

I was proud of her most times. What I also enjoyed was being able to suck her in whenever I wanted or felt like it. That is not the case these days...

See Barbara and I at our finest...
Yes, I stuck it all out without shame and flaunted it :) It just meant that the food was good.  This particular shot was taken at the Alaska State Fair...so damn right I had to stick it out :)
Now, there is no putting Barbara away.  Some have said, "Oh, baby is showing,"  but I have to tell that it's just a food baby and I can't suck it in like I used to.  It has made me a little self-conscious, but I know there isn't a thing I can do about it now.
So, this was taken last weekend:
I had just eaten a big breakfast.  If I haven't eaten I look totally fine, just a little pudgy.
I think I am in denial about the awkward stage between not-yet-showing, and showing...especially because I am already a thick girl to begin with.  The time is almost near though, ladies and gentlemen.  Soon, I will show.  Making this all the more real.

I can even feel baby now, mostly when I'm sleeping in my favorite position, or sitting uncomfortably.  The second trimester is here.  Ahh! :)
Jeans are too small or too hot (in this 50 degree weather).
Energy is coming back.
Cravings are getting specific.
This is real folks :)

Cheers.
